Keyhole Capital continues Rooney Properties’ commitment to investing and developing upscale multifamily living in the Western and Midwest US
Local property management and investment firm Rooney Properties today announces that the company will split into two entities: Keyhole Capital and Rooney Property Management. While Rooney Property Management will continue the long tradition of the brand to provide high-quality, responsive management service to their tenants, newly formed Keyhole Capital will focus on developing top-in-class new properties throughout the United States, particularly in Wisconsin, Colorado, and Montana. Both businesses will remain under the leadership of current Rooney Properties Founder and CEO, Jim Rooney.
“We are on a mission to create unique living spaces like no other,” said Mr. Rooney. “It’s our belief that every community deserves spaces like this – that blend the rugged, natural beauty of the local space with a modern design sensibility. We’re excited to bring our Midwest, get-it-done attitude to new markets, such as our recent developments in Colorado, to raise the standard of living in these growing communities.”
The launch of the business includes the new Keyhole Capital logo, an abstract keyhole shape that also resembles a sunrise over a mountain to reflect the new vision of the business. The tagline, “We build community, one property at a time,” sets the tone for Keyhole Capital’s focus on success over time, with each unique project they develop.
In addition to making innovative investments in emerging communities, Keyhole Capital is committed to the environment: Creating and maintaining sustainable properties that minimize environmental impacts is core to its philosophy.

While the Keyhole Capital business launched quietly in mid-2021, this month marks the official launch of the new business and brand.
